Hi, I'm Abdulrahman
I build software, explore the outdoors, and document what I learn along the way. I'm currently developing Crestr, a hiking and route-planning platform, while studying Computer Science.
Experience
Over the past two years I've been building Crestr, a hiking and route-planning platform developed entirely on my own. I work across the full stack, from a Python/FastAPI backend and PostgreSQL database to a vanilla JavaScript frontend using OpenLayers. I also deploy and manage the application on a self-managed Hetzner VPS using Docker and Caddy. I'm interested in backend engineering, mapping technology, and building products that people genuinely use. Every feature, deployment, and design decision is an opportunity to learn.
